BC Issues Invitations to 309 Newcomers in PNP Draw

BC held another Provincial Nominee Program draw on February 12, inviting 309 newcomers to apply for citizenship through five different categories.

The Skills Immigration categories of International Graduate and Entry-Level Semi-Skilled had minimum scores of 94 and 67 respectively, one point lower than previous PNP draws in 2019.

The minimum score for the Skilled Worker category remained constant at 85. The Express Entry categories showed a similar shift, with a minimum score of 94 for the EEBC – International Graduate category and 85 for the EEBC – Skilled Worker category.

The PNP program is a way for skilled workers to achieve citizenship faster and help the provinces boost their economies by finding workers with the skills the provinces need most. So far, BC has invited 1,244 newcomers to the province under the PNP program in 2019.
