CBSA Investigating Immigration Fraud in Saskatchewan

Charges filed against Qi Wang and Yujuan Cui in 2015 have led to an investigation pointing at a massive immigration fraud scam in Saskatchewan.

The Crown alleges that Wang and Cui had accepted money from Chinese nationals in exchange for fraudulent job offers from businesses in Saskatchewan and given money to businesses in exchange for job offers that did not exist.

The pair were also accused of using the names of businesses that were unaware the fraudulent offers had been created at all.

Wang had previously been suspended from the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program for creating false job opportunities. Current evidence against Wang and Cui also includes documents found in their garbage containing fraudulent job offer letters and other documents, and a recorded conversation between Wang and a business owner that makes it clear that the job offers were not real.
