Some fully vaccinated travelers will be exempt from certain travel regulations when entering Canada, provided they meet all other entry eligibility requirements.

These changes went into effect on July 5, 2021.

Fully vaccinated travelers who meet the new requirements no longer have to quarantine or stay in a hotel upon arrival, and are exempt from submitting a COVID-19 test on Day 8.

The Canadian government also announced that an updated ArriveCAN app will be available beginning on July 5. Travelers are encouraged to use the updated version of the app to submit COVID-19 information when traveling to Canada.
