On January 10, another Express Entry Draw was completed, inviting another 3,900 candidates into Canada’s Express Entry program.
The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cutoff was 449 this round, higher than the previous cutoff of 439 on the December 19th draw. As has usually happened, a tiebreaker was applied to the draw stipulating that if more than one candidate had the lowest score, the one who submitted their profile before January 2 at 11:40 would be given the invitation.
The Express Entry program is a way for skilled immigrants to apply for permanent residence in Canada. Once an applicant sets up their profile, they will be given a score out of a possible 1,200 based on their likelihood to succeed economically in Canada. Those with high enough scores are granted invitations each draw, enabling them to apply for permanent residence.
