Minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores for this round were 472, one point higher than the previous draw on January 22.

Candidates from the Federal Skilled Trades program were eligible on this round. The tie-breaking rule chose candidates with profiles submitted before January 30, 2020. 

CRS scores are points given to profiles based on skills such as language skills, education and work experience. They help determine which candidates are more likely to succeed economically in Canada. 

As of January 31, 2020, there were 142,491 candidates in the Express Entry pool, an increase of 1,233 people since the last count on January 20. The draw picks the top candidates from the pool, giving them a chance to fast-track their permanent residency application.
