How the New Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship Process Works

As Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada announced last week, the parents and grandparents sponsorship process has been streamlined.

So what steps should applicants take when the new forms become available on January 28 at noon?

As always, eligible potential sponsors should express their interest to sponsor a parent and grandparent via the interest to sponsor form.

Unlike previous years, however, potential sponsors must now upload a copy of a status in Canada document, which will help IRCC detect and prevent fraudulent activity.
