Much like the IRCC, the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB) is prioritizing Ukrainian files that have been pending as of March 1, 2022.

This includes refugee claims and appeals before the Refugee Protection Division and Refugee Appeal Division and family sponsorship appeals before the Immigration Appeal Division.

If your file does not fall under these specified divisions but still qualifies under this prioritization, contact the IRB registry (hyperlink).

These files do not make up a large percentage of the IRB’s total pending files and therefore should not interfere with files from other countries.
