IRCC has announced the launch of a platform to facilitate online citizenship testing, which will fully launch in 2021.

Since March 14, most citizenship tests have been cancelled. IRCC has invited a small number of applicants whose tests were cancelled to take their citizenship tests to help determine the stability of the platform. Once the platform has been fully tested, IRCC will invite more clients to take citizenship tests online.

Clients have 3 weeks to complete the online citizenship test and have the option to wait for the resumption of in-person testing.

These measures are designed to prevent the spread of COVID-19, protecting the safety of clients and staff.
