PEI Immigration Office to Reopen

Closed in 2012, Charlottetown’s immigration office will soon open its doors again, offering newcomers help with settlement services, permanent residency applications, and citizenship.

The closure was hard on many newcomers with limited funds or limited access to technology, since receiving help in person often meant travelling to another province.

The new office will allow PEI immigrants to get the help they need in their home province, without the expense of travelling.

An exact date for the reopening has yet to be determined, and its location is still undecided as well.
