Two Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP) occurred this week in B.C. and PEI.

BC’s Tech Pilot draw on February 19 issued 53 invitations to candidates working in the tech industry. Minimum scores were 90 across all categories.

PEI’s draw on February 20 issued 143 Labour and Express Entry invitations along with 10 Business Work Permit Entrepeneur invitations. The minimum score for Business invitations was 122—three points lower than the previous draw on January 16.

Meanwhile, Québec announced the results of a draw held on January 16. This draw issued 23 invitations under the Regular Skilled Worker program and selected for candidates who applied before December 17.

For reference, PNP draws help provinces fill labour market needs by selecting candidates with appropriate skill sets.

They are also an opportunity for foreign nationals to fast-track their permanent residency applications.
