Another Tech Pilot draw occurred in B.C. this week and issued 58 invitations under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

The draw selects candidates with skills in the tech industry, in one of 29 different eligible tech occupations. Minimum scores for the draw were 90, having remained steady since April 2019. The Tech Pilot program conducts weekly draws and has been extended to June 2020.

Meanwhile, Alberta announced the results of a draw on January 9 in which 150 invitations were issued. Minimum Comprehensive Ranking System scores for that draw were 350, 50 points lower than the previous draw on December 5.

For reference, PNP draws help skilled foreign nationals fast-track their permanent residence status. The draws are also an opportunity for provinces to address their economic needs by selecting candidates with appropriate skill sets.
