Four PNP draws occurred last week in B.C., Ontario and Saskatchewan, issuing 957 invitations.
B.C.’s Skills Immigration and Express Entry draw was held on January 7, inviting 173 candidates across five separate streams. Minimum scores were higher across all categories than the previous draw on December 17. The most significant difference was in the Skills Immigration—Skilled Worker and Express Entry—Skilled Worker categories, which rose by 8 points and 10 points respectively.
Ontario’s draw was on January 9, issuing 242 invitations under the French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream. No invitations have yet been issued under the province’s Human Capital Priorities Stream or the Skilled Trades Stream.
Saskatchewan’s first draw was also on January 9, issuing 142 invitations through the Express Entry stream and 166 invitations through the Occupations In-Demand stream. The province held another draw on Jan. 13, issuing 125 Express Entry invitations and 109 Occupations In-Demand invitations. Minimum scores for Saskatchewan’s draws have remained steady since November, at 69 points.
