Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) Draws Oct. 22 – 28, 2019

Provincial Nominee Program draws held last week issued invitations to candidates in three provinces: British Columbia (B.C.), Manitoba, and Saskatchewan.

The PNP creates an avenue for selection of foreign nationals who possess skills for provincial economic growth, based on a scoring system that awards points for work experience, language skills, and other factors.

In B.C., 62 invitations were issued through the tech draw, with minimum scores of 90 across all other invitation categories.

In Manitoba, 157 invitations were issued across three categories, namely:

• Skilled workers with lowest ranking score of 567

• International education

• Skilled workers overseas with lowest ranking score of 685

The largest draw of the three provinces was in Saskatchewan, issuing 550 invitations in the Occupations In-Demand category and 372 in the Express Entry category. Minimum scores remained 69 in each category like previous rounds, excluding Express Entry category which was 67 in the October 17, 2019 draw.

Altogether, 1,141 invitations were issued.
