Sentencing Continues in BC’s Largest Immigration Fraud Case

Xiao Feng “Heki,” an unauthorized immigration practitioner with New Can Consultants Ltd., has been sentenced to 20 months in jail for passport fraud, misrepresentation, and tax evasion.

Nine people have so far been sentenced in the largest immigration fraud case that BC has ever seen, involving two companies, New Can Consultants and Wellong International Investments, under investigation for providing over $10 million in fraudulent services.

The Canada Border Services Agency is also investigating over 1,600 suspected New Can clients, who may have their status revoked or be deemed inadmissible.
