A new update to the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations will make the IRCC system the official determinant of when an electronic message has been received.
This is important information for individuals submitting claims on the West Coast, since the system operates on Eastern Standard Time; late application submissions sent on the West Coast may be officially recorded as having been received the following day by IRCC.
Since occasional delays also make the IRCC’s systems register electronic submissions later than they were sent, applicants should take extra care to submit their documents on time.
