Canada Adds Additional Screening Procedures for Air Travellers from the UK, South Africa, and Brazil

The Canadian government has announced additional screening procedures for air travelers who have been to the United Kingdom, South Africa or Brazil 14 days prior to their arrival in Canada.

These travelers will receive secondary screening and greater scrutiny of quarantine plans.

Travelers are reminded that as of January 7, 2021, air travelers 5 years of age and older are required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test before boarding.

Mandatory isolation and quarantine requirements are in place for all visitors, with penalties for non-compliance. All visitors are encouraged to use the secure ArriveCAN app or website to accelerate border intake procedures.
