L'autre soir, on regardait des anciens résumés de Coupe du monde avec mon frère et on s'est rendu compte que plusieurs de nos matchs préférés impliquaient des sélections africaines. Ça nous a donné envie de revoir leur parcours, alors j'ai cherché quelques informations et je suis tombé sur cet article. J'avais oublié certains exploits et c'était sympa de les redécouvrir. Est-ce que vous avez aussi commencé à suivre une équipe africaine après l'avoir vue jouer pendant un Mondial ?

Oui, ça m'est arrivé avec le Ghana. Avant cette Coupe du monde, je connaissais seulement quelques joueurs, mais leur parcours m'a vraiment donné envie de suivre leurs matchs. Je me souviens qu'on regardait les rencontres chez un ami, chacun apportait quelque chose à manger et on passait la soirée à commenter les actions. Plus les matchs avançaient, plus on espérait les voir continuer 45. Ce qui m'a marqué, c'était leur détermination et le fait qu'ils ne semblaient jamais impressionnés par leurs adversaires. Depuis, je fais toujours attention aux sélections africaines pendant les grandes compétitions. Elles proposent souvent un football dynamique et offrent des scénarios auxquels on ne s'attend pas. Même quand le tournoi est terminé, on continue à évoquer ces matchs pendant longtemps avec les amis.
