The Ministère de l'Immigration, de la Francisation et de l'Intégration (MIFI) has announced that it has reached the maximum number of family reunification applications it will accept between June 26, 2024, and June 25, 2026, for sponsoring a spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner, or a dependent child aged 18 or over. 

No new applications in these categories will be accepted until June 25, 2026. Any submitted after the cap was reached will be returned without being processed or charged. 

MIFI continues to accept applications for other eligible family members and plans to announce its next decision on managing family reunification applications by June 25, 2026.
