Alberta Citizenship Ceremony Welcomes 45 New Canadians

Forty-five new Canadians received their citizenship at the Royal Alberta Museum on Thursday.

The ceremony included a roundtable discussion about the newcomers’ experiences immigrating to Canada and a discussion of Canadian values. The new citizens also read their oaths and sang the Canadian national anthem.

This sentiment was echoed by national program officer for the Institute for Canadian Citizenship, Jennifer Muir: “We had tons of people who were just in great spirits. A very, very congratulatory tone to the day.”
