Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has announced Service Canada Centres are steadily resuming biometrics collection for permanent residence applications.
Permanent residence applicants who have received a biometric instruction letter (BIL) will be contacted by Service Canada officers to schedule a biometrics appointment.
IRCC reminds applicants that there is no additional fees and no need for a new BIL. Only those applicants who have been contacted by a Service Canada Officer and have a scheduled appointment may visit a Service Canada Centre.
IRCC temporarily suspended biometrics collection in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
