According to the 2023 Best Countries ranking by U.S. News, Canada is the second-best in the world.

Canada has recently ranked among the top five nations in the world out of the 87 countries considered in their overall rankings by U.S. News. In 2022, Canada was ranked third. This year, Canada overtook Germany as the second-best country in the world. Switzerland has taken the top spot for the second year in a row.

The 2023 Best Countries list ranks the top 20 countries by analysing the 10 sub-categories. Canada was ranked among the top five countries in four of the 10 sub-categories. For Entrepreneurship, Canada ranked 5th, for Quality of Life, Canada was ranked 3rd. In the Social Purpose* sub-category, Canada ranked 4th and ranked 2nd for Agility.

Canada’s ranking as the world’s second-best country in 2023 indicates that the country remains a top choice for immigrants across the globe. Canada is a place where both residents and newcomers can expect to be comfortable and enjoy their stay as they work hard and transition towards a successful life.
