Express Entry Draw March 19

An Express Entry draw occurred on March 19 and 668 invitations were issued to skilled foreign nationals.

The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of the lowest-ranked candidate was 720. This time, the tie-breaking rule included everyone who submitted profiles before the draw was held. The CRS score was significantly higher than the last round of invitations. The difference is likely because the draw selected from a small pool.

For reference, Canada’s Express Entry program offers skilled foreign nationals a chance to fast-track their permanent residency status. Applicants are assigned a score based on skills and experience that would help them succeed in Canada. Candidates receiving an invitation may then apply for permanent residence in Canada.

As of March 13, 2020, there were a total of 146,881 candidates in the Express Entry pool. This is an increase of 1,445 candidates since the last count on March 3.
