All IELTS tests in China, Hong Kong, and Macau have been suspended to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Tests on mainland China are suspended until March 1; tests in Hong Kong are suspended until February 17; and tests in Macau are suspended until February 11. The dates will be reviewed as the situation unfolds. Test takers whose test was cancelled can reclaim their fee. Those who want a refund or who want to see test results should email their test centre.
The status of test centres in other countries may change. Currently, they remain open. Centre staff and examiners may wear face masks as a preventative health measure. Anyone who has a cough, fever or experiences sudden shortness of breath should not take their test. In these circumstances, they can claim a transfer or refund instead.
