Immigrations, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has announced that as of July 1, 2020 online applications for visitor visas will once again be reviewed.

This decision applies to the following application types:

• visitor visas (including transit visas)

• electronic travel authorizations (eTAs)

IRCC notes that paper applications for visitor visas, study permits, and work permits, will not be processed at this time. IRCC reminds applicants that current travel restrictions for new arrivals, including mandatory quarantine for a period of 14 days, still apply and most applicants will not be allowed to travel internationally.
