On February 24, 2021, the Honourable Marc Garneau, P.C., M.P., Minister of Foreign Affairs, tabled the International Experience Canada Youth Mobility Agreement signed by Canada and Italy in December.

The agreement provides Canadian and Italian youth between the ages of 18 and 35 greater travel and work opportunities. Candidates will be allowed to participate in the program for up to 24 months. The inclusion of 2 work streams, International Co-op and Young Professionals, will allow youth to gain valuable work experience.

Candidates also have the option to apply for the Working Holiday stream, which offers open work permits in the host country.
