Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has announced new requirements for Canadian permanent residents and family members of Canadian citizens and permanent residents who are flying to Canada.
These travelers must submit COVID-19 information, including contact and quarantine information, using the ArriveCan app or by signing into ArriveCAN online prior to their boarding flights. Those using the ArriveCAN app have a window of 90 days before their flight to submit information while those using ArriveCAN online have a window of 14 days.
Travelers are required to show their ArriveCAN receipt to Canadian border service officers and both screenshots and printouts are accepted. The new requirements came into effect on November 21, 2020.
