Trip Tips for Crossing the Border

The process of crossing the Canadian border has changed in 2020. To ensure a smooth crossing, Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has supplied a summary of useful information.

On the CBSA website, travellers will find a Current Border Wait Times table displaying real-time updates from POEs. CBSA has also included a “border reminder checklist” for both Canadian residents and visitors on its website to help travellers prepare for their trips. Travellers are encouraged to print it out and fill the checklist in to ensure speedy border crossings.

CBSA allows remote traveller processing at the Morses Line crossing in Saint-Armand, Quebec. The program is available to Canadian and American citizens and permanent residents and allows remote audio-video processing, including remote payment, at the crossing after staffed hours of service.
