Don Curry is North Bay’s First Immigration Consultant

North Bay welcomes its first immigration consultant—Don Curry.

Curry is the former chair of the board of the North Bay & District Multicultural Centre. He has both local and international clients. Curry plans to work with international students seeking permanent residence and employers who need immigrants to fill job openings. He can also help his clients complete citizenship applications and offers a training program for newcomers’ English tests.

Curry has a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) certification in addition to his BA and MA degrees. He said the certification took 10 months of courses at UBC plus a three-hour exam.

As an RCIC, Curry’s profession is regulated by the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council. He is also a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Consultants (CAPIC). You can find his MyConsultant.ca profile here.
