A new round of Express Entry invitations was issued on April 3, marking the 7th Express Entry draw of 2019.
The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cutoff was one point below the last draw, at 451 points for the lowest-ranked candidate. A tie-breaking rule was applied, inviting candidates who had applied before January 9, 2019.
The Express Entry program’s popularity is evidenced by the number of candidates who submit profiles — as of March 29, there was a total of 102,985 candidates in the Express Entry pool.
Each candidate profile receives a CRS score based on skills that will help them succeed in Canada, including language skills, work experience, and education.
The April 3 draw invited another 3,350 of the pool’s top-ranked candidates, bringing the total number of invitations this year to 24,550.
