The 11th Express Entry draw of 2019 was held on May 29, inviting 3,350 candidates; applicants from Federal Skilled Trades Program were eligible for this round.
This draw marks a return to previous invitation numbers, which were relatively high. The lowest Comprehensive Ranking System score was 470, which is also a return to the norm. The tie-breaking rule favoured candidates who submitted profiles before May 23, 2019.
Express Entry draws occur regularly on a biweekly basis. Candidates are assigned a CRS score based on skills that might help them succeed economically in Canada, such as language skills and education. The program allows IRCC to invite strong candidates to fast-track their citizenship applications. As of May 24, a total of 109,011 individuals were in the Express Entry pool.
