Another Express Entry draw was held on June 26, issuing 3,350 new invitations for newcomers to fast-track their citizenship applications.
This round, only candidates from the Skilled Trades Program were eligible, as was the case in the May 15 draw.
The cutoff score this round was 462, three points lower than the cutoff score for the last draw of 465. However, the score was significantly higher than the May 15 draw, which had a cutoff score of 332. The tie-break rule applied to candidates with the lowest score who had applied before May 11, 2019.
There were more total candidates in the Express Entry pool than in other months, with the number increasing by 1,371 from June 7 to 111,299 on June 21. So far, a total of 41,800 skilled newcomers have been invited to Canada through the Express Entry program in 2019.
