Georgian College in Barrie, Ontario, will offer five free courses to newcomers to help them navigate the job market in Canada.
Designed for people who have tech experience, the courses will offer communication skills and cultural knowledge training, as well as networking and job-seeking skills training.
One stream is offered completely online, while the stream for professional managers is a combination of classroom and online learning. Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada is funding the Occupation-specific Language Training courses, which are available to permanent residents of Canada or protected persons.
The online courses will begin on September 30, while the course for professional managers will begin on October 15.
