IRCC Announces Changes to Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has released details of new changes to the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP).

Candidates can now obtain the required work experience (1,560 hours) over the 3 years preceding their application. In addition, the new measures allow individuals to apply even if they have interruptions in their employment. These new rules will be applied to all RNIP applications.

The goal of RNIP is to help smaller communities attract workers and experience the economic advantages of immigration.
