IRCC Updates PGWPP Guidance for Students Graduating Outside of Canada

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has updated its guidance for Post-Graduation Work Permit Program (PGWPP) students who graduate outside of Canada due to COVID-19.

The update clarifies that those who graduate outside Canada do not need to have or have held student permits within 180 days of applying to the PGWPP. The length of their work permit will be calculated using their online study time that was accumulated after their application was received.
