The Honourable Marco E.L. Mendicino, P.C., M.P., Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, has announced that the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants will open on Nov 23

Minister Mendicino highlighted that the “creation of the new College delivers on our promise to better protect newcomers and bolsters Canada’s immigration system so it can continue to be the envy of the world.”

The new College has a mandate to protect both the public and immigration and citizenship consultants, and offers increased protection against the actions of unauthorized representatives. The College will have powers to investigate wrongdoing and fraud, which greatly enhance consumer protections.
