Provincial Nominee Program Draws: February 1–8

Provincial Nominee Programs select newcomer candidates based on requirements specific to the economic needs of each province.

Provincial draws are a great way for immigrants to receive Express Entry invitations for Canadian citizenship.

This past week saw two PNP draws from Ontario and one from BC. The February 1 and 7 Ontario draws invited candidates through the French-Speaking Skilled worker stream. The first draw issue 29 invitations while the second issued 69, bringing the total yearly number of invitations in the stream to 189.

In BC, 32 invitations were issued for the Tech Pilot draw, bringing the 2019 total to 112 invitations so far. The draw invited candidates from the SI - Skilled Worker, SI - International Graduate, EEBC - Skilled Worker, and EEBC - International Graduate categories.

The minimum scores for these categories have remained constant throughout 2019, at 85 for the Skilled Worker categories and 95 for the International Graduate categories.
