Adding digital products to my consulting site
By: Bryant on Jun 06, 2026 01:27 PM EST
Hey everyone, I have been doing one-on-one consulting for a while now and want to add some digital products to my site, things like templates and guides, without rebuilding the whole thing from scratch. My current setup is pretty basic and I do not want to lose the personal brand feel. What is the smartest way to bolt on a shop without turning the whole site into a clunky mess?

Bolting a shop onto an existing site without ruining the design is exactly the kind of use case where composable commerce shines, you keep your current frontend and just plug in the backend pieces you actually need. There is an open-source option built specifically for this approach, and you can dig into the documentation right here https://medusajs.com/ .

Start with just one or two digital products to test the waters, do not dump a full catalog on day one. A clean launch with limited offerings lets you iron out the purchase flow before scaling up.
