Are certified inspections actually worth it for a used Jaguar?

I always assumed those "certified" inspection services were just a fancy way to charge more for the same thing a regular garage does, so when I was looking at a used Jaguar XE near Al Wasl I almost skipped it entirely. The seller seemed honest enough and the car drove fine on the test drive, but my wife insisted I get it checked properly because she'd heard Jaguars can have electrical nightmares and expensive suspension issues. I ended up booking a Certified Jaguar pre-purchase inspection near Al Wasl through a mobile service that came right to the seller's building. The guy spent over an hour going through everything from the air suspension to the infotainment system, and he found a slow coolant leak and a fault code that had been cleared recently. Nothing that would have stranded me immediately but enough that I walked away and found a better example. Honestly I'm still not sure if "certified" means much beyond marketing, but in this case it saved me from a potential headache. Anyone else have thoughts on whether these specialized inspections are really better than a normal mechanic?
