Checking a 06 Mobile Number

What’s the safest way to check an unfamiliar French 06 mobile number? I received a missed call from someone who didn’t leave a message, and I’m wondering if other people have reported the number as spam.

For an unfamiliar 06 number, I would probably avoid calling back straight away. A missed call without a message doesn’t provide enough context to know whether it was a genuine person or an unwanted caller. You can first try https://scannero.com/who-called-me/france/ to search the French number and look for available details or reports. If nothing useful appears, I’d simply wait and see whether the caller tries again or leaves a message.
