Comparing the total cost

When comparing installment loans, do you focus more on the advertised interest rate or the total cost of borrowing? What information should a lender provide so borrowers can make a fair comparison?

I’d look at the total cost rather than focusing only on the advertised rate. A lower rate can still result in higher overall costs depending on the loan term and payment structure. Before signing, I’d want to see the APR, payment amount and frequency, loan duration, fees, and total amount repayable. The Magical Credit page is also worth checking when comparing installment loan options and understanding the repayment structure.
