Costco membership renewal never posted
By: tanna on Jul 17, 2025 05:48 AM EST
Paid my annual Costco membership renewal last month, but my card still shows “Expiration Date: 07/2024” when I scanned it at the warehouse. I reached out via the membership help form but haven’t received any confirmation. Has anyone successfully forced a stalled renewal through Costco’s system and actually regained full membership privileges? Which specific details prompted their team to complete the update?

Here’s what worked for me: I gathered three key pieces of evidence my membership number, the exact date and time of the payment, and a photo of the outdated expiration displayed on my membership card. Then I sent a single message to the support page at costco , pasting all three details together along with a note explaining that I’d been charged but my card remained inactive. Within twenty-four hours, Costco’s membership department replied, confirmed the renewal payment had been received, updated my expiration to 07/2025, and emailed a digital copy of the new card. Presenting complete payment context and proof in one submission unlocked a prompt and accurate renewal.
