GABA supplement?
By: Evans on Aug 16, 2025 05:52 AM EST
Has anyone taken GABA supplements and found them helpful for binge eating? I just came across a post where someone said it was incredibly helpful for binge eating. I wonder if anyone has tried it? I just happened to have some at home so I might give it a try.

GABA helps many people relax and reduce anxiety, which is often associated with episodes of overeating. It's usually perceived more as a means of reducing stress and improving sleep, rather than a direct way to control appetite. If you have capsules, you can try it, the main thing is not to expect a miracle result right away and at the same time work on your diet and stress management.

Stress and nervous tension often provoke excess appetite and GABA is often used as a gentle means to reduce anxiety and stabilize mood. Many note that after taking gaba supplement benefits, the feeling of internal tension decreases, it's easier to control impulses and there is no such desire to constantly reach for food. The supplement has few side effects, the main thing is not to overdo it with the dosage. This is a really working support for compulsive overeating, especially if combined with the right diet and physical activity.
