How can I check a competitor's Instagram before a deal?

My colleagues are proposing a partnership, showing beautiful presentations, but their Instagram looks too polished. I suspect half their followers are bots, and their reach is inflated. I need to quickly and quietly check their profile for a real audience and activity before we shake hands and sign the papers.
What tools are currently really effective for anonymously analyzing other people's accounts?
Share some working tips on how to expose them without leaving a trace.

User account setup
