How do you choose clothing colors for interviews and daily life in Canada?
By: Julia Dobkine on Jan 27, 2026 07:30 AM EST
Hi everyone,
I had a question that’s a bit different from the usual immigration topics, but still related to settling in.
I’ve noticed that clothing colors can really affect how confident you feel, especially during job interviews, workplace meetings, or even daily life in a new country. I recently started learning about color analysis (undertones, seasons, etc.), and it made me wonder how practical this is in real life.
For those already in Canada:
Do certain colors work better for interviews or professional settings?
Have you noticed differences in style expectations compared to your home country?
Do you stick to neutral colors, or do you experiment more?
I’m curious to hear real experiences and any advice for newcomers trying to build a wardrobe that feels confident and appropriate.
Thanks in advance!
