There are many factors which go into a fee for any immigration application, including the specific background of the applicant and the fees of the RCIC you are considering hiring. Not every RCIC charges the same rate. Not all Refugee applications are equal either. There are several different categories and fees can be dependent upon application type as well. Often the more experienced consultants charge a higher fee, so to be sure to get that expertise, you should expect to pay a higher fee. You can choose a lower rate with a less experienced consultant, but you should be making sure that if they are not very experienced, that they have access to mentorship from an experienced RCIC. In no situation would I ever recommend you approach any person who is not an authorized representative. I hope this helps.
