Lawyers who handle CPS appeals
I am looking for low cost but quality lawyers or law firms that handle CPS appeals with OCFS. A family member was listed in a recent report based on a preponderance of the evidence, which is honestly a level of ridiculousness I can't even begin to describe. If there is any good Samaritan out there who can offer advice or a solution to this investigation, it would go a long way in relieving this stress. My mom is beside herself and I am just trying to do what I can to help her through this difficult time.

I understand how difficult it can be, especially when the charges seem completely out of touch with reality, and in the case of cps defense it's better not to drag it out. You need not just a lawyer, but someone who is well versed in the nuances of administrative law and works with such appeals. They explain step by step what to do after the report indicates, how to appeal, and what evidence can really make a difference. This is not just a defense on paper, they help remove this stigma from people.

The OCFS appeal process itself can be quite confusing, especially without reliable legal support. I recommend looking into organizations that provide such assistance or work at a reduced rate, often through law schools or through Legal Aid in your state.
