Massive relief after getting my Golf's DSG properly serviced

I honestly can't believe I let my Golf's DSG service go overdue for as long as I did, but I'm so relieved that a proper service was all it needed to sort out the issues I was having. The gearbox had started feeling really clunky, especially when pulling away from a standstill, and I was convinced something major was about to fail. I'd read so many horror stories online about DSG failures costing thousands to fix that I was genuinely stressed about it. I finally took it to a proper specialist who actually understands these gearboxes, and they told me straight away that the DSG oil and filter were way overdue and that was almost certainly the cause of the rough shifting. They did a full service including the oil change, filter replacement, and adaptation reset, and the difference is absolutely night and day. The gearbox is smooth as silk now, no hesitation, no jerking, just seamless changes like it's supposed to be. I went with a Certified Volkswagen repair service in Abu Dhabi and they were brilliant, they explained everything clearly and didn't try to upsell me on any unnecessary work. If you've got a DSG equipped VW and it's starting to feel rough, seriously get the service checked before you assume the worst. It's so much cheaper to do a proper service than to deal with a failed gearbox, and I'm kicking myself for not doing it earlier.
