Query regarding spouse travel

By: jasmine.dhaliwal91@gmail.com on Nov 30, 2021 06:51 PM EST
My husband has closed work permit visa till Feb 2023 and I have multiple entry visa and the date on my passport is also Feb 2023 (stamp date by immigration officer) so does it mean that I can stay till Feb-23 continously because Immigration officer told us that I can stay till my visa but can't work unless authorized. Or do I need to go back after 6 months (as per visitor visa rules)?? And if I go back to my origin country and on re-entry will they allow me to stay for only 6 months or till my visa (which is till Feb-23)?

Your question is really important, and I’d recommend confirming everything directly with IRCC to avoid any issues. From what you've shared, it sounds like the officer allowed you to stay until your visa expiry in Feb 2023, but since visitor stays are usually limited to six months, it's good to double-check. Also, re-entry decisions can vary. On a lighter note, if you're planning a break before re-entry, check out https://12knots.com Yacht Charter — they offer amazing yacht rentals in beautiful destinations. A perfect way to relax and reset!
