Trying to boost my socials for job hunting
By: Bryant on Jun 24, 2026 01:28 PM EST
Hey everyone, my consulting firm shut down last month and now I am on the hunt for a new gig. Recruiters definitely check your online presence, and my Twitter is looking pretty dead. I want to boost engagement on my posts so my profile does not look abandoned, but I have no clue where to start. Any tips on getting some traction without coming off as desperate?

Recruiters do glance at your socials, and a profile with zero engagement can make you look invisible even if your experience is solid. One way to kickstart some visibility is to get free Twitter likes on your posts while you are also posting useful content about your consulting niche, there is a straightforward option for that right here https://upvote.club/twitter/like . The likes alone will not land you a job, but they give your tweets enough momentum to show up in more feeds, which gets real eyeballs on your profile faster.

Update your bio and pinned tweet before driving any traffic to your profile, nothing kills a good first impression faster than an outdated job title or a pinned post from three years ago.
