Where to find interview questions for a new grad nurse?
By: Bryant on Jun 28, 2026 03:11 PM EST
Hey everyone, my girlfriend is finishing up nursing school and has her first real interview coming up soon. I work in consulting and honestly know nothing about the medical field, but I want to help her prep. Anyone know where to find solid articles with actual interview questions and tips for new nurses?

Nursing interviews are a whole different beast compared to office jobs, they do not just ask about your education, they throw situational questions at you about handling patients, dealing with emergencies, and talking to stressed-out family members. Good prep articles walk through real questions that hospitals actually ask and explain the reasoning behind the best answers, rather than just giving you a list of topics to memorise. A solid breakdown of new grad rn interview questions with examples and tips is available here https://roundlyhq.com/blog/new-grad-rn-interview-questions/ . Have her read through it and practise answering out loud a few times.

Prepare a couple of questions to ask about the unit and the shift schedule, it shows genuine interest and leaves a much better impression than just sitting there nodding.
